Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNO): Days after a lady from Khanyar area of Srinagar tested positive for deadly novel coronavirus, social media platforms especially Twitter was abuzz with 'Break The Chain' Hashtags with higher official including people using the same to generate awareness and share necessary information. Today, the trend is everywhere on social media with I and U letters of VIRUS being used as “I and U” can do it. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), social media platforms have started a chain of tweets asking masses to break the chain by painting social distance to eliminate the virus. The social media is abuzz with some of the hashtags used by the official twitter handles of Indian Amry, Jammu and Kashmir police, official spokesperson J-K, district magistrate Srinagar, mayor of Srinagar, all the hashtags were also followed by people of Kashmir generating mass awareness on social media platforms and encouraging the measures being taken to contain the spread of delay COVID-19 virus. The hashtags used by officials include #Stayhomestaysafe , #JKPCARES , #fightagainstcorona #Breakthechain and #Stayhome, later used and encouraged by Kashmiri people by using the same in their posts, almost all of these hashtags are now trending on social media platforms especially on Twitter. A hashtag 'Break The Chain' used by district magistrate Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhay is now trending on social media, in his last 24 hours of tweets he has used the same for almost 8 times while giving different details and advising people to follow the necessary measures to fight the novel Corona-virus. Break the chain hashtag has also got the support from medical experts since the virus is communicable. Besides these tweets number of kids have appeared on social media with placards appealing people to stay home to stay safe in order to break the chain. Many of the kids who appeared on social media platforms belong to different parts of the valley including, Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramulla, Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian, Awantipora, Kulgam and Budgam, encouraging and motivating people to stay indoors amid the growing scare of novel Coronavirus—(KNO)
